At Domaine du Bourrian, we are dedicated to producing only organic wine.

Our vineyard practices prioritise harmony with nature, avoiding artificial chemicals, and embracing natural solutions to control pests and weeds. This approach fosters a self-sufficient ecosystem that benefits the environment and society. The resulting wine delights consumers with its exceptional taste and lower sulfite content compared to non-organic alternatives.

The sun-drenched soil combined with the sea air gives the grapes a taste like no other.

24 hectares of vineyards are divided into AOP Côtes de Provence and IGP. All plots comply with BIO certification and are cultivated without the use of pesticides and herbicides.

For AOP, the following varieties are grown: Vermentino (also known as Rolle), Grenache noir, Cinsault, Syrah and Tibouren. The quantity and the quality of these grape varieties is strictly governed by the rules of the Côtes de Provence.

In the IGP section, the following varieties were planted: Vermentino, Viognier, Grenache noir, Cinsault, Tibouren, Merlot, and Mourvèdre.

The Vermentino grape yields white wines with a complex aroma, while the Viognier grape produces light white wines with a fruit aroma. The varieties Grenache noir, Cinsault, Syrah, and Tibouren are blended to create wines with a delicate flavour, in the classic tradition of Provence rosé wines. Syrah, Grenache noir, and Merlot Sauvignon are reserved for the production of full-bodied spicy red wines.

Rosé

A delicately hued pink wine with a light body, showcasing robust notes of summer berries, orchard fruits, herbs, and florals. Our rosé wines are known for their superb compatibility with fish, seafood, chicken dishes, and refreshing, tangy salads.

White

Based on Rolle and Viognier grapes, our white wines boast a diverse spectrum, ranging from light-bodied with fresh citrus aromas on the nose and palate to a more complex, intricate profile with subtle woody character. This range offers a delightful journey through the richness of flavours, ensuring a satisfying experience for wine enthusiasts.

Red

Showcasing a vibrant and transparent cherry red hue, our red wines undergo a meticulous aging process that contributes to the complexity of their aroma. With a well-balanced acidity, these wines are easily digestible, accentuating the presence of black fruits and culminating in a spicy finish.

Awards

“Great and distinct aromas on the nose and palate. Predominantly fruity and berry aromas of regional and tropical fruits. Very slight hints of flint and sea salt on the palate. Length in the finish is okay for a rosé, flavours remain nice and clear. This is exactly how one imagines the South of France.”
